I hear wedding bells. . .

Lance, (Chad's brother) and Heather are engaged! Tonight Lance popped the big question and she said "Of course!"
I was actually there hiding and taking pictures when he proposed. I actually took most of the pictures with my film camera but snapped a few with my digital. They went to eat at Ruth's Chris and then he brought her back to his house "to hang out"after dinner. He took her into the backyard where he had tediously (and secretly) worked all afternoon laying out Christmas lights and luminaries. The theme was Faith, Hope and Love (I Cor 13:13) and had the sign below hanging on a tree. Luminaries lit the stepping stone path and then he had a cross (for faith) in Christmas lights, hope written out in Christmas lights, and then the heart above in luminaries.

This turned out blurry because of my night setting - but you get the picture.
The bling bling . . .
And then afterwards, he was going to take her over "to show Junior and Donna." Little did she know, all of their close friends and family were waiting to celebrate!
We got them this little sign as a memory of the night (I knew his plan - thus it coordinated perfectly with the night . . .)
And you can see their excitement! Lance and Heather, we are so excited for you guys and are so glad you found each other! (And I was so glad I got to witness the actual proposal from afar - I hope that at least some of the pictures turned out!)

Oh, and here are some "monogrammed" cupcakes for the celebration that Heather's sister-in-law made.
And speaking of wedding bells . . . tomorrow (December 16th) is our eight year anniversary! Chad, I love you more now than I did when I married you! I am so thankful for you and the eight terrific years we have had together. I love you!
