The last post before the big day . . . (probably)!!

Well, blogging buddies, this is probably it until Carolina arrives!! (I am having to blog at my in-laws since our computer is officially turned back in to Vanderbilt.) This is a picture of me at 36 weeks. . . I know, I'm huge! As of Thursday the 24th, I was dilated to 2 and about 50% effaced. She has dropped a little bit (but she has been so high this entire time) and Dr. Wise seems to think I will not go over this time like I did with Lawton. At this point with Lawton, I wasn't doing anything yet. However, my awesome doctor will be out of town after my due date (the 11th), so we set an induction for the 7th of May. l really want to go on my own and experience the "surprise-it's-time-to-go-to-the doctor-right-now!!!!" feeling since I was induced with Lawton 5 days late last time. I am so thankful that this has been a wonderful pregnancy - no complications, I have felt great, I am really proud of my weight gain (even though I look like I have gained more), and am still sleeping great. Please pray for us over the next few days and weeks that Carolina arrives soon and is healthy! I will try to keep everyone posted once she is here!

Lawton's 3rd birthday!!

Here are just a few of the pictures from Lawton's birthday party at our house. Thankfully the guests were able to withstand the whipping wind and cool weather. . . we were just thankful it didn't rain. You never know what the weather will do in mid April! Lawton had a blast at his Thomas the Train party . . . and I'm glad it's over! We had some friends from church and playgroup over and then had a family party right after with Snappy Tomato pizza! (That was the best decision I made the entire time, especially being 36 weeks pregnant!)

I can't believe that my baby is three!

All his friends gathered around to sing Happy Birthday!

Attempting to "blow out" the candle in the fierce wind!

Lawton's train cake that I made . . .

We borrowed a gator from a teacher at Chad's school and took the kids on "train" rides around the yard. It was a hit!

Sadly, this is the only family picture I got from the entire day! At least we got one!

Carolina's shower

At the end of March, some of my friends hosted a wonderful shower for baby Carolina. It was so fun to get everyone together and she got some of the cutest things! I think I may get in trouble with all this girl stuff! :) Thanks you guys! You are the best!

The fabulous hostesses!!! From left to right: Candie, Julie, Emily, me, Belle, Rebekah and Molly

The beautiful table and delicious food. Notice the cute flower "vases" that Rebekah made. She borrowed some of my scraps of material from the bedding for this secret project. How cute and so talented!

Here is a view of the my fellow pregnant friends at the shower. (We just happen to be in our due date order.) Christine (Walker is here now! :), me, Laura, Natalie and Leslie. Fun times are ahead!

My mom, me, Kathryn and Luke

What concentration!

He worked so hard decorating this "Easter" tree. Notice the one branch . . . ha!

Lawton helps out

Well . . . I finally developed some film and just had to make a post of these pics from February. Sorry, but I don't have a finished picture of the nursery because . . . it is still not finished completely (to my liking)!!

Lawton decided to get in on the action and help Chad paint Carolina's room

Lawton needed his tools to help prep Carolina's walls before painting!

I just loved this picture of him back in February in the snow!
