Shirts and Skins

One April Sunday, Carolina started out wearing this beautiful dress my mom made just for her. . .
And somehow, after lunch, we had a hearty game of baseball going on in the front yard of Gran-D and Papa J's house! Sister refused to be left out!

I've actually posted a few more posts if you want to keep scrolling. . .

Proud Son

Chad ran the half marathon this April. We let sister spend the night with Gran D and Papa J so Lawton and I could get up early and see Chad run. Lawton was so proud and just knew that Chad would win. ;) We stopped at McDonald's and had a special breakfast while we were waiting. We
timed it just right and saw him at mile 6 and at the finish line!
See? There Chad is - the red shirt with gray shorts! :)

Yee-Haw!!

As part of Lawton's birthday present (in April), my parents gave him tickets to the rodeo that came to their town (in April . . . ) They also gave him this hat and a bandanna, and after searching around in the house, I came up with these cutie-patootie outfits for them. The best picture of the two of them was actually made with my iphone, and maybe one day I will take the time to download all my pics from there on this blog. :)

I think she must have been calling Noni to tell her we were on our way. . .

And here is the funny part - they had a "best dressed" cowboy and cowgirl (of all ages) before the rodeo actually started. Carolina WON (and Lawton did not!) Can you tell how he felt about it? ha! I think her little pigtails wooed the audience and the judges . . . and she won a $50 savings bond and they both got all these free tickets to do things all around town. (See the big ribbon she won?)
I think he was the cutest cowboy there, of course!
We had a fun night at our first rodeo ever!! Thanks, Noni and Dandy!

got dirt?

Way back in May (when I started this post - ha!) I took the kids to the "dirt park" at a local park thanks to the suggestion of my friend, Sara. We went on a Monday and the "museum" part was closed - but they still loved playing in the dirt. I was (and still am) getting a little sad that I won't be able to take Lawton on fun trips like this on a weekday next year because he will be in Kindergarten!! (sniff)

I love these cute little legs!! :)
