Baby Luke is here!!

Lawton was able to hold Luke for the first time on Easter Sunday. The hospital would not allow him on the floor, and last week he had a cough and low grade fever. He was pretty sweet holding him!

Is that a smile already? ;)

Holding my sweet nephew for the first time. Not really thrilled about how I look here, but what can I do?

Well, my blogging buddies, I am afraid I have fallen off the blogging wagon lately. Oops! I knew it had been a while since I last posted, but didn't realize it had been so long until I looked at the date of the Shoney's post. Since we are practically the only ones in America without a digital camera (I do love my nice film camera), it makes posting a little bit boring for those of you who need graphics :). And . . . we are about to have to give back the laptop to Vandy that we have had for almost a year because of the class Chad is taking. A new computer is not really in the near future budget with the baby coming and all . . . so I am just prepping everyone (not that anyone REALLY cares) that my future blogs will be few and far between I'm guessing. I thought I would just prep everyone . . . ha!

So . . . for the real reason of this post - Luke Thomas Phillips is here! My sister actually had him March 13, 2008, but I haven't posted until now because I wanted to share pictures and just got some e-mailed from her tonight. He is precious and a very good baby so far - I hope Carolina gets the memo! ;) He arrived 12 days early - the due date was actually tomorrow, the 25th! Her water broke at 1:00 in the morning and they were at the hospital by 2:30 or so. Around 6:30 or 7:00, they thought that he was breech and might have to do a C-section. The doctor confirmed he was breech and he was born via C-section at 8:55 that morning weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 21 inches long. Kathryn was actually dilated to 10 when they did the surgery, so all in all it went pretty fast for her first baby!!

As far as Carolina goes, I'm feeling great! Still sleeping good, maybe not that quick on my feet anymore, but what do you expect? When people ask when I'm due, and I say May 11, they just either give me the "wide-eyed-are-you-serious-you're-going-to-pop" look or the "bless-your-heart-you-are-huge" look. Nice. I really have not gained that much weight up to this point, it just all happens to be from my shoulders to my pants if you get my drift. Unfortunately, the view from the rear is not much different than what it was before I got pregnant. (At least I think . . . ) So, I can't blame Carolina for my baby-got-back, I've just always been "blessed". yeah for me. (do you sense my sarcasm?) Chad seems to think that I don't look as miserable as I did with Lawton, but I do officially have seven more weeks. Hmmmmm. Could be interesting. I will try to be better before I say so long to the computer. Stay tuned! :)
