Friday Night
Lawton had his first sleepover! Hunter came over and played and spent the night while Brent, Emily, Houston and Chad went to watch Cousin McKale play in the KY semi-finals in football. (Sadly, they lost.) I took the Lawton, Hunter, and Carolina to Five Guys to eat dinner and ran into quite a few people I knew. They all asked, "Are you crazy?" but the boys and Sweet Baby Girl were great. The boys "transformed" the peanuts there into Transformers and had a great time. And this isn't the best picture of Hunter above- it was early . . .
Hunter is a wild man in the bed . . . so he was banished to Lawton's sleeping bag on the floor.
I was actually worried that they would have a hard time falling asleep in the same room so I told them that if I heard them talking or playing Hunter would have to sleep on the floor in Carolina's room. As I was shutting the door I heard Lawton say, "Hunter, DON'T talk!" and Hunter replied, "You don't talk either, okay?" I didn't hear a peep. Fabulous. (If I do say so myself.) :)Saturday
We ended up taking Carolina to the doctor Saturday morning to find out she had an ear infection just as we suspected. Sweet baby, she doesn't get fussy, but we knew she had one because her eye was goopy just like the previous two times. We ran a few errands while we were out and of course stopped continued our tradition, and then headed home to watch the Alabama game. After the loss (sniff), we made our very first gingerbread house! Fun times!
"Mrs.Claus" supervises the gingerbread house creation as she stuffs her face with puffs. :)
hard at work
Look at the boys and their concentration! (funny side note: At one point Chad had gotten a little "sloppy". I didn't say anything but he accused me of giving him a "look" (when my perfectionistic tendencies come out). Lawton just looked up and said in an exasperated voice, "Cha-yad!" (think southern twang). We both lost it!Notice our crazy Buzz the Elf hanging from the light in the background supervising!

That's hilarious that Lawton called him out in what I can only imagine was an LB accent!
I think you are brave for taking all 3 out..... it was just that Five Guys was so, so crowded! Glad the boys slept well for you. Sorry that Carolina had an ear infection. Hope the antibiotics are working now!
