Can you imagine this sight twelve years from now, except in a real car with a real engine? TROUBLE! This is probably what heaven will be like to Lawton and Hunter - I mean, what could be better? Eating a bakery sugar cookie, getting to ride in the CAR CART at the grocery store, AND doing it all with your favorite cousin in the world!
Emily and I both had to go to the store after we had been somewhere together. I think I should go with her more often! She pushed them both around and I could shop in peace. Have I mentioned I love my sister-in-law? :)
Confession: I am usually a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market shopper, but on those days when Lawton is with me (and of course Carolina) and I just can't handle Lawton hopping, skipping, running, talking, and trying to help me shop, I will go to Publix or Kroger and pay more money just for the beloved car cart (and to keep my sanity) . There. I just had to get that off my chest. Does anyone agree?

That is some CUTE trouble! You do have an awesome sis in law (but so does she!). And I, too, am a WMNM girl who cheats with Publix (sometimes Kroger) for the excellent service, better carts, and quicker checkout. Glad I'm not the only one ;)
Ok, I can't find the diaper discussion post (maybe it was just the poll), but let me say that AGAINST YOUR ADVICE I broke down and bought Luvs because they were $5 cheaper than my beloved Huggies and had 20 more in the pack! I think I've done this ONCE with each child. And then I'm cured of my stupidity. The smell doesn't necessarily offend me, but it masks my baby's precious smell and the stink that lets me know they need a change! Plus, they get diaper rash with them. So now over half the pack is about to be trashed...not really a good deal after all! I'll stick to my Huggies because they're usually a tiny bit cheaper than Pampers and I can live with the obnoxious all-over print and I've always had good luck with them not leaking or causing diaper rash. So there's my long-winded "I should have listened to Laura Beth!"
How sweet is that! I dread the day that our kids reach driving age. I am seriously going to have to find something to do to keep my mind from worrying.
I love the car carts at Kroger and Publix. When I have all of the kids, that is where we shop. I have also found that if you shop the sales and use your coupons, that after you buy the item and they double the coupon, you've come out cheaper than shopping at Wal-Mart. That kind of puts my mind to ease. (You may already know this, but if they have BOGO or a #for$, you can still get one and get the sale price. That is how I always come out cheaper. And the rainchecks are great, too.)
if I have both kiddos, I'm usually a Publix girl, and YES it is worth it!
I hate those car carts! They are sooo hard to steer (and I'm a horrible driver already)! The other problem I have with them is that Grant seems to be closer to the food when he's in them. Therefore, when I'm not looking, he's grabbing things off of all of the lower shelfs..why do they put glass jars down low?? I almost always go to Kroger just because I hate Wal-Mart, but I forgo the cars when possible - if he doesn't see them, he doesn't ask for them!
Such a cute picture! Yes, many times I have paid more for convienance and sanity. Sometimes it is just worth it!
Yes, I am a Kroger shopper!!! We love the 15 cents off at the pump!!!!! I can find EVERYTHING I need. The cars are a bonus for me....
