As it turned out, mom (Noni) let him spend the night after all since she was coming to Nashville anyways today. After eating at Burger King(Lawton's pick), going to Big Lots to pick out a special silver car (just like Noni's real car) and stopping at Dunkin' Donuts for a little pre-bed snack, he exclaimed "This has been a GREAT day, Noni!" Bless his heart, he really needed some 1 on 1 attention! Thanks, mom! (My dad was busy with a home show in Nashville)
Soooo. . . Lawton was SO excited to spend the night at Gran-D and Papa J's house tonight. We had actually planned a date night earlier in the week for tonight. Anyways, Lawton decided that he would help pack his suitcase for tonight. Here is a list of his "necessities". :)
- plastic hammer
- Batman, Superman and Wonderwoman action figures
- new silver car acquired from Noni
- one small red trapezoid
- soccer ball
- bag of phonetic reader books
- "Goliath" sandals (Velcro-strap sandals)
- Mac (from the movie Cars)
- Michael Jordan ball cap
- Thomas sunglasses
- Cars watch
- pajamas (I thought these might be needed)
- Clothes for church tomorrow (ditto above)
We actually forgot his toothbrush collecting all these other "necessities". It makes me smile just thinking about how serious he was packing. :)
Thanks, Grandparents, for loving our little Lawton!

Such a sweet little boy! Aren't grandparents WONDERFUL!!! Hope you guys had a fun date night! :)
Okay, maybe my number isn't correct . . .I don't know. It's -6.5 in one eye and -6.0 in the other. Which I thought meant the same as 20/650 (which means I can see at 20 feet what a normal person can see at 650 feet. Did I make that all up? I don't really know! :)
