Spring is always a busy time, especially in our family! Since Chad is a principal, there are lots of school activities and end of the year festivities. He also mows on the side, so that takes up a lot of time. Two spring birthdays, the half marathon, swimming lessons, Mother's Day, a dinner that I chaired, and so on has packed our calendar. Then, on top of that, the constant rain for several weeks really messed with his mowing schedule so there has been a lot of late afternoons/evenings spent mowing too. BUT, because of the messed up mowing schedule, we were able to have a fun family day last Saturday and go on a family bike ride!

We went to a local park with a great bike trail and were able to see these horses along the way. About half a mile in, Lawton needed to stop for a "
Scooby Snack" (he had been watching
Scooby Doo before we left). We convinced him to push on and we stopped about a mile later! :) Thankfully I had thrown in some peanut butter crackers and water for him!

Here Chad and Carolina are taking a peek at the creek we stopped by. And look at those HOT legs! HOT! HOT! (sorry if I embarrassed you, sweetie! ;)

Poor guy . . . he was a little sweaty! Those little legs did end up pedaling over two miles!
