The other day, Lawton and I were driving and listening to one of his CDs. Well, I was just singing along being silly with him and he spoke up (quite firmly I might add) and said, "No, Mommy. Don't sing. You just drive." Well, excuse me, mister, I didn't know my singing was that offensive! :) He told me the exact same thing a few days later once again. Hmmm. . .
Last night, Lawton had been asleep for a while and I was in the living room watching television. I heard him stirring around and then I heard him mumble, "And there goes Thomas, puffing down the track." I would love to know what he dreams about, but this gives me a glimpse. Perhaps episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine?
He calls bananas "Ban-na-nas" and Mr. Potato Head "Mr. Taba Head". I love that. When racing, he calls out, "Ready, 'sick', go!" If something is stuck that he is playing with, it is "stucky". He has said so many funny things, but I forget to write them down and then, of course, I forget. That makes me sad.
Do your kids have any cute sayings?

when Annie used to say her abc's she would say everything right until she got to l,m,n,o,p. to her it was h,i,j,k,annie poopie,q,r,s... it was precious and i was so upset when someone corrected her and she started saying it the right way! she also used to say strawbabies for strawberries. again, i was upset when someone corrected her! she usually gets things right now-a-days and daniel is not talking enough to have any cute sayings yet. but i'm sure i will cherish his as much as i did hers. and i will try to not correct something cute that a toddler is saying (as long as it is not a speech issue). you want to hold onto those things as long as you can! they grow up too fast!!
YOU HAVE TO KEEP A JOURNAL!!! i finally made myself start one because at least once a day lilly would about make me wet my pants. i finally got a journal and just jot down funny things she does and says. she tells me all the time not to sing and "don't talk" when she is trying to read a book by herself. my favorite thing she says all the time is "bathing soup (suit)." She also told me the other day (when she tooted) that she "had just poo-pooed some noise."
That is hilarious! I love the first part about the singing! They are so honest aren't they.
Those are so funny- what a little sweetie! I do need to keep up with the things Elan says that I want to remember but recently out of the blue he has starting talking REALLY country but just for certain things- like "cuuum own mommmmieee", "yeahus maaauumm" etc.
